Best WordPress Theme Submission Sites
by Jeff Stewart on May.28, 2010, under Uncategorized
If you are designing wordpress themes and want the world to see them, here are the best places to start.
1 ) WordPress Theme Viewer (registration required)
- This is the first site you should submit a WordPress theme to. It gets tons of targeted visitors a day and will assure your theme hundreds of downloads. Another good thing is that this website will host your themes and create a live demo. On every other WordPress theme related website that asks for a “Download URL” when you submit a theme, you can add as “Donwload URL” the url given you by themes.wordpress.net.
2 ) Weblogstoolscollection (registration required)
- Weblogtoolscollection.com is the most important WordPress theme related blog with more than 4.000 feed readers that are interested only in WordPress themes and WordPress plugins. Once you have written a short message in the “news” section with some information about your WordPress theme, this will be pubblished after 1-2 days on the main blog page (also on the german and spanish version of Weblogtoolscollection). By submitting your theme to Weblogtoolscollection you will also get it listed on planet.wordpress.org and on Carrero.
3 ) WordPress theme Codex (registration required)
- Adding your newly created themes to WordPress Codex is a MUST. It uses the technology so, once you have registered, you will be able to add your theme immediately. There are hundreds of themes listed on this page but there are also thousands of people visiting it every day. The theme has to be pubblished in the proper section. If you made a two columns theme, for example, you have to pubblish it in the “two-columns” section. When you are going to design a WordPress theme, rember to create a Widget-ready one. Why? Because Widget-ready themes get more downloads and you will also be able to add it in the “Widget-ready” section.
- JohnTp.com is a very popular WordPress related blog with over 1.000 feed readers. To add a theme to John’s list you will have to leave a comment on http://www.johntp.com/wp-skins/ . Make sure your comment is written like this:Theme name:Theme page:Theme type:
5 ) Blogflux (registration required)
- For a submission to Blogflux you will need to host your theme somewhere else than themes.wordpress.net cause they only accept a “Download URL” that ends in .zip, .tar, .tar.gz, or .rar. The Download url provided by themes.wordpress.net does not have an ending like this.
6 ) ThemesBase (registration required)
- The only negative thing about ThemesBase is that they add their own link in your theme. Anyway TemplateBase is a good layout resource (not only WordPress but also Joomla, Mambo, Xoops and more).
7 ) BloggingThemes
- Very fast and simple submission. You only have to upload your .zip file and you are done.
8 ) Wpskins (registration required)
New WordPress theme related website that it’s growing very fast.
9 ) DigitalPoint (registration required)
Basically you can announce your theme in most of the big forums and DigitalPoint is the one I actually consider the best.
10 ) WordPress Theme Forum (registration required)
Always announce your theme also on the ufficial WordPress forum.
11) See Your Site Here / Best WordPress Themes (email them with your info : theme name / theme page / type / download url )- I don’t think they take any themes with encoded links)
If you have a blog, create a post about your WordPressTheme. This post can be digged and stumbled and you will drive another 50-60 visitors to your theme. Other advantages of creating a own post for each released WordPress theme are:
- – you can add your theme link in the comment you leave at JohnTp.com (Theme page:)
- – Blogflux asks for a “theme page” to submit a theme
- – your theme will be downloaded directly by your blog readers.

by Jeff Stewart on May.27, 2010, under Cool Stuff

No matter how expensive or attractive your TV is, the overall effect is still incomplete without a sleek TV stand to complement it. This is precisely what Matt Hardman intended when he developed this concept during a competition brief for Alphason based on compact living. Keeping in view the modern living room settings, the Alphason Audio Stand is designed for the corner of a room to utilize space most effectively. Featuring a modern style to match the sleek design and elegant looks that define plasma television sets, the stand incorporates an iPod docking station to be used in conjunction with an integrated speaker system. In keeping with the space-saving idea, the stand comes equipped with a built-in plug bank on the back to save trailing wires across the living space. Cut your shower short with Disappearing-Pattern Tiles
by Jeff Stewart on May.27, 2010, under Cool Stuff

We have seen a range of bathroom fittings that add glamour and glitz to modern high-tech bath spaces and invitingly allow us to drench in its overflowing luxury, but we would pay the least attention to energy used over the luxury quotient. However, Disappearing-Pattern Tiles remind us of the judicious use of water during a shower with its fading patterns in thermo-chromic acid ink that reacts to heat. The longer the shower, the less decoration on the wall. So, if you are one of those people who tend to relax in the serenity and beauty of your bathroom, you certainly would appreciate the intent and the distinctive luxury in your bathroom.
